Sculpture

Summary:
I took an intro sculpture class at Stanford and loved it. I learned how to use scale, form, texture, color, material and spatial context to achieve my desired vibes.
I focused on themes of nostalgia, playfulness and simplicity. Here's some of my work!

Giant Peach:
This border-collie-sized peach was made by covering two cardboard armatures with plaster and then painting them. There's a clay counterweight inside to give the peach slice a tilted posture.

Wood Milk Crate:
This milk crate was CNCd out of plywood. The "spilled milk" foundation was made of painted plywook and spilled plaster. These days I use the crate as a mini coffee table.

Hand-Drawn Car:
This car was meant to look like a car drawn by a child. It's made of bent steel rod and assembled using a MIG welder.

The End!
